Bring the other roofer's estimate. We grade the roof and tell you what's real, what's padding and what's missing — in writing.
Second opinion, freeRepair, replace, or claim: the grade decides, not the salesman.
- Repair if the roof is under about 15 years old and the problem is isolated: one boot, one slope, one flashing.
- Replace if it's past 18–20 years with problems on more than one slope, soft decking, or a warranty that's already gone.
- Claim if a dated hail or wind event caused damage you can document. We show you the evidence and let you decide; wear and tear is never a claim.
- Second opinion if someone has already quoted you. Bring it; we grade the roof and tell you what's real.

Before you let anyone on your roof, ask one question: do you carry workers' compensation?
Texas lets private employers opt out of workers' compensation, and most roofing crews do. If an uninsured worker is hurt on your roof, the claim can come to you — general liability alone doesn't cover it. Mammoth carries workers' comp for every person on your roof, every day.
Ask for the certificate of insurance naming you as the certificate holder. We'll hand you ours before you ask.
The 9 things to check before you hire a rooferStraight answers before you book.
Ask your local teamDo you cover my area?
Boerne, San Antonio and the Hill Country from the Boerne office; Austin and Round Rock; Temple, Belton and Killeen; Kerrville and Marble Falls; and the Fort Worth / Dallas area. Every market page lists the towns and ZIPs.
How fast can you come out?
Same or next day in the San Antonio area, usually within the week elsewhere. After a storm we run extra crews.
Is the inspection really free?
Yes — it's the same Roof Grade visit for every service. Attic first, 75–150 photos, the 32-point Hunter-Gatherer Report, a letter grade and a plain-English verdict. You get the written report whether you hire us or not.
Will you tell me if I don't need the work?
Yes. An A grade is a handshake and a date to look again. A B means a few small repairs, priced in the open, on a roof with years left in it. We'd rather be the roofer you call in ten years than the one who sold you a roof you didn't need.
What warranty comes with the work?
Repairs carry a workmanship warranty in writing on the invoice. Full replacements carry the Mammoth Two Tusk Limited Lifetime Warranty: our 10-year workmanship warranty on the installation, plus the manufacturer's lifetime material warranty on the materials, which means the life of that product on the manufacturer's written terms. Ask us for the warranty document and read it before you sign.
