# Seamless gutter installation in San Antonio, sized for a Hill Country downpour.

Mammoth Roofing & Exteriors · https://mammothroofs.com/services/gutters/ · (210) 934-9074

Two inches of rain in an hour is a normal Texas afternoon, and a 5-inch gutter with a small downspout can't move it. We install seamless aluminum gutters sized for the roof, guards where the trees demand them, and downspouts that actually drain. Bundle it with a replacement and the ladder only goes up once.

## Five gutter problems, and what we do about each.

- **Clogged gutters**: Leaves, twigs and roof granules back the water up over the fascia and onto the foundation. We clear them and install guards where the trees make it a yearly job.

- **Leaky seams**: Sectional gutters leak at every joint eventually. We reseal where it makes sense and replace with seamless where it doesn't.

- **Misaligned gutters**: Texas soil moves and gutters pull away from the fascia. We realign with reinforced brackets so they stay put and drain the right way.

- **Rust and corrosion**: Old galvanized steel rusts through. We replace corroded runs with seamless aluminum or copper and coat what stays.

- **Damaged downspouts**: A crushed or undersized downspout floods a bed and a foundation. We repair, replace and upsize to 3-inch round outlets where the rain demands it.

- **Do the gutters the same week.** (Roof replacement): New drip edge, new gutters, one crew, one clean-up. The bundle is cheaper than two visits, and one company answers for the roof edge and the gutters.

## Why we ask about the roof before we quote the gutter.

- **5" or 6"**: Six-inch gutters carry roughly 40% more water. Big roofs, steep pitches and long runs get six.

- **Downspouts**: Standard 2×3 downspouts choke in a storm. We install 3×4 or 2¾-inch round outlets and add downspouts where the run is long.

- **Pitch and hangers**: Gutters need fall toward the downspout and hidden hangers every 24 inches, not spikes every four feet.

- **Guards**: Under oaks and cedar elms, guards pay for themselves in two skipped cleanings. On an open roof they're optional; we'll say which.

## What we install.

- Seamless aluminum. Rolled to length on site in K-style or half-round, in the color range, no joints to leak. The default.

- Copper. For historic homes and accents. Expensive, beautiful, permanent.

- Guards and screens. Micro-mesh or reverse-curve, chosen for the tree species overhead.

- Fascia and soffit. Rotten fascia and blocked soffit vents get fixed with the gutters, because the gutters hang off them.

## Straight answers before you book.

### Do I need gutters in San Antonio?

If the house has a foundation, yes. Hill Country clay soils swell and shrink with water; keeping the roof run-off away from the slab is the cheapest foundation insurance there is.

### Seamless or sectional?

Seamless. The joints are where sectional gutters fail, and seamless costs little more once a crew is on site.

### Can you install gutters on a roof you didn't replace?

Yes. Most gutter jobs are stand-alone; we check the fascia and drip edge first so the new gutters have something sound to hang on.

### Is the inspection really free?

Yes — it's the same Roof Grade visit for every service. Attic first, 75–150 photos, the 32-point Hunter-Gatherer Report, a letter grade and a plain-English verdict. You get the written report whether you hire us or not.

### Will you tell me if I don't need the work?

Yes. An A grade is a handshake and a date to look again. A B means a few small repairs, priced in the open, on a roof with years left in it. We'd rather be the roofer you call in ten years than the one who sold you a roof you didn't need.

### What warranty comes with the work?

Repairs carry a workmanship warranty in writing on the invoice. Full replacements carry the Mammoth Two Tusk Limited Lifetime Warranty: our 10-year workmanship warranty on the installation, plus the manufacturer's limited lifetime material warranty on the roofing materials. Ask us for the warranty document and read it before you sign.
