Call Mammoth and explain what is happening. The local team will confirm availability, help assess the next step and arrange the roof inspection.

## The next 30 minutes, before we arrive.

None of this fixes the roof. All of it keeps the damage small until a roofer does.

- **Catch the water**: A bucket under the drip, towels around it, and anything valuable out of the room. A bulging ceiling is holding water — keep clear of it.

- **Kill the power if water is near it**: Water near a light fitting or an outlet: switch that circuit off at the panel and leave it off until we've looked.

- **Photograph it**: The ceiling, the wall, the water. Time-stamped photos are what an insurance claim runs on later.

- **Stay off the roof**: Wet shingles and dark are how people get hurt. Nothing you can do up there tonight is worth it.

## What we do the day you call.

Then the permanent repair, quoted in writing from the written Roof Grade.

- **Tarp and dry-in**: A proper tarp, battened down, or a temporary dry-in over the damaged area. Not a blue sheet and a prayer.

- **Trace the leak from the attic**: Most "roof" leaks are a boot, a nail pop, a flashing or a vent — found from inside, not from the street.

- **Temporary flashing and boots**: Where a permanent part is a day away, we make it watertight now and come back with the right part.

- **Documentation for the claim**: If a storm caused it, we photograph and date everything so the emergency work and the permanent fix both count.

## Document the damage before deciding.

The inspection records the condition of your roof in photos and writing. Your insurer determines the coverage under your policy.

- Dated storm? If hail or wind caused it, the emergency work is usually part of the claim. We document it that way from the first visit.

- Old roof? A 22-year-old roof that finally let go is a replacement conversation, not a claim. We'll say so.

- Either way the tarp goes up first. The paperwork can wait until the water stops.

## Straight answers while the bucket fills.

### How much is a tarp?

Emergency tarping is quoted before we start, and it comes off the price of the permanent repair if you go ahead with it.

### Will you repair a roof you didn't install?

Yes. Most of our repairs are on roofs someone else put on.

### Is the inspection really free?

Yes — it's the same Roof Grade visit for every service. Attic first, 75–150 photos, the 32-point Hunter-Gatherer Report, a letter grade and a plain-English verdict. You get the written report whether you hire us or not.

### Will you tell me if I don't need the work?

Yes. An A grade is a handshake and a date to look again. A B means a few small repairs, priced in the open, on a roof with years left in it. We'd rather be the roofer you call in ten years than the one who sold you a roof you didn't need.

### What warranty comes with the work?

Repairs carry a workmanship warranty in writing on the invoice. Full replacements carry the Mammoth Two Tusk Limited Lifetime Warranty: our 10-year workmanship warranty on the installation, plus the manufacturer's limited lifetime material warranty on the roofing materials. Ask us for the warranty document and read it before you sign.
